President Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed Anura Vidanagamage as the new Governor of Uva Province, following the resignation of the former Governor, A. J. M. Musammil. Musammil submitted his resignation to President Wickremesinghe via letter yesterday and shortly afterward showed his support for Sajith Premadasa by participating in the Minuwangoda SJB rally.
