Over the last 24 hours, Sri Lanka has recorded 157 new cases of dengue fever.
According to the National Dengue Control Unit, the country has reported 2,201 dengue cases in the first 21 days of this month, marking a notable increase compared to the previous month when there were 2,647 cases reported in May.
In total for this year, Sri Lanka has reported 27,121 cases of dengue so far. The Western Province has recorded the highest number of cases.
Tragically, there have been 9 reported deaths attributed to dengue fever this year.
